Understanding a Good Network Security Management
The development of the computer has been increasing rapidly, where information has become such valuable asset that needs to get a more specific protection. To protect such information, emerges a concept that is referred to as Network Security Management. The main goal of network security management is to limits access to the information, so that information can only be accessed by authorized users.
There are various threats of network security management in your organization. In this case, the threat means that those who try to gain illegal access to the network-access computers had the authority over access to a computer network. In general, the desired illegal accesses are Read Access, Write Access, and the Denial of Service. To overcome these problems we must analyze how to create a successful network security management.
A good network security management is influenced by several factors; Integrity, Confidentiality and Availability. Securing computer networks requires three levels of process. The first process is prevention; most of the threats of network security management can be prevented easily. The next process is the observation; where you must always monitor the system’s activities. The last process is Response; if something unexpected happens and the system’s security has been compromised, then the personnel must immediately take action.
